Krystal Christopher, PhD

Dr. Krystal Christopher is a second-year neuropsychology fellow at the University of Texas- MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. She earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston and completed her predoctoral internship with specialization in neuropsychology at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Gainesville, FL. Prior to her clinical fellowship, Dr. Christopher completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was funded by an NIH/NCI multisite grant to study neurocognitive outcomes following pediatric brain tumor under the primary mentorship of Lisa Kahalley, PhD. Dr. Christopher’s clinical interests include pediatric hematology/oncology, with a focus on neuro-oncology and pre-surgical epilepsy. Her research examines neurocognitive and functional outcomes in pediatric brain tumor survivors, including the impact of acute symptom burden and treatment-related toxicity. She is also passionate about mentorship and is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within neuropsychology through her work with KnowNeuropsychology.
