Dr. Matthew Calamia is an Associate Professor at Louisiana State University. He completed his doctoral training at the University of Iowa and completed his internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was part of the steering committee for the Queer Neuropsychological Society and served on its inaugural executive board as a member-at-large. He is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology. He is the director of the LSU Psychological Services Center and mentors graduate students interested in clinical neuropsychology. His research focuses broadly on neuropsychological assessment with an emphasis on psychometrics and aging. He received the National Academy of Neuropsychology Early Career Award in 2021. In collaboration with trainees in his lab and with outside collaborators, he has also been involved in research on mentorship, diversity, and doctoral education in clinical neuropsychology. He is working with others to re-establish the Association for Doctoral Education in Clinical Neuropsychology.
